Parade Prinzessin 2025 – Nina Caitríona O’Shea

Nina Caitríona O’Shea - Parade PrinzessinMy name is Nina Caitríona O’Shea, I am 16 years old and this year I am the parade princess of the St. Patrick’s Day parade 2025.

I was born in Geneva, Switzerland. My mother is Russian and my father is Irish, from County Kerry. Due to my father’s work, we have lived in different countries: in addition to Switzerland, we have also lived in Austria (Vienna), Israel (Jaffa), Ireland (Limerick) and now we are living in Munich.

My family and I enjoy travelling. I am lucky to have met many people with different backgrounds and stories, which is always fascinating.

Even when we are living abroad, we enjoy visiting Ireland whenever possible. I love spending time with my grandmother, aunts, cousins and members of our extended family. One of my favourite things to do when in Ireland is attending ancient festivals, be it Puck Fair in Killorglin in the summer or the Wren in Dingle in the winter.

Our family loves all sorts of music. I have tried many instruments in the past, and am currently learning the guitar. I also love to sing!

I have experienced St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in different countries, most recently in Killarney in 2024, where there was a very impressive group from Killarney’s Bavarian twin town of Pleinfeld. I have heard great things about the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Munich, and am very excited to have been given the opportunity to take part in it as parade princess in 2025.
